Mike Ryan

San Antonio native Mike Ryan has built a national following on Lone-Star grit, whiskey-smooth vocals, and a catalog that boasts nine Texas-chart No. 1s and more than 265 million career streams — all achieved without a major label.

A University of North Texas alum, Ryan introduced his brand of Red Dirt storytelling on Night Comes Falling (2012), then broke wide open with Bad Reputation (2014); its trio of chart-toppers “Dancing All Around It,” “Wasting No More Whiskey,” and the title track confirmed him as one of Texas country’s sharpest songwriters.

He sustained the momentum with Blink You’ll Miss It (2017) and leveled up on the critically praised fourth LP Longcut (2022), a Telecaster-driven set that landed on year-end “Best Of” lists and expanded his reach far beyond the Lone Star State.

The project also paved the way for a lifelong milestone: Ryan’s Grand Ole Opry debut on November 8, 2022, where his soulful delivery earned a standing ovation and underscored his arrival on the genre’s biggest stage.

Today, the Mike Ryan Band’s high-energy shows blend fan favorites like “Can Down” and “Die Runnin’” with fresh material, turning honky-tonks, theaters, and festival fields into communal sing-alongs. Expect airtight musicianship, vivid stories, and a reminder that honest country songs — played loud and from the heart — still matter.
